Welcome to EmmaW.Net, your best source for all things Emma Watson. You may know Emma from her role in the Harry Potter films, her modelling work for Burberry, or her collaboration with People Tree. Please enjoy your stay!
Sorry for the long space between updates, guys! I've been away for two weeks and am just getting back into the swing of things. Expect lots of updates in the very near future, so that I can get EmmaW.Net back up-to-date!
Emma looked stunning as she hung out on set for song Say You Don’t Want It with the band – who she has got to know after starring with hunky lead singer GEORGE CRAIG in a Burberry modelling campaign. George, from Helmsley, Yorkshire, told me: “We became really great mates and she asked to be in the video. She wants to be a rock chick after ten years of Harry Potter.”And Emma revealed she’d love her next acting role to involve music. She told me: “I love singing and I’d love to be in a musical film now Harry Potter is finished.” With her exams now over, Emma is unsure what to do in the summer. I’m sure she’ll find a rockin’ role. source
TravelMail joins Emma Watson and Robbie Coltrane for a sneak preview of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort in Florida
The biggest opening in Orlando for years, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, an attraction based on JK Rowling's novels and subsequent films, will open its doors on June 18th. TravelMail writer Matt Fortune managed to bypass security and spend a day exploring Hogsmeade along with some of the film's stars. Here's his verdict...
After its epic journey from Platform 9 3/4 at London's King Cross, the Hogwarts Express steam train stands proud and imposing, billowing with steam clouds at the entrance gate.
Ahead, the alluring Honey Duke's sweet shop, with world renowned Every Flavour Beans, and Dogweed and Deathcap's exotic plant store, replete with shrieking Mandrakes, are just two of several fully operational shops on the eerily authentic, snow-covered streets of Hogsmeade, the fictional setting for JK Rowling's hit novels.
Owls from the local postal service twitter nearby and on a street corner at the far end of town pupils from overseas wizarding schools perform for passing visitors. In the distance, looming large above this enchanting town, is the breathtaking Hogwarts School.
The scenes described above come not from one of Rowling's books but from the moment I was ushered through a locked gate in Universal Studios’ Islands Of Adventure theme park to see the brand new - and keenly awaited - Wizarding World of Harry Potter attraction.
As reported earlier this week, Emma has just appeared on the Today Show from Orlando at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter resort, to help announce the winners of the class project contest that had been running. Emma got the chance to announce that all of the classes would be attending the grand opening in Orlando on June 18th, due to the "outstanding" job that Universal Orlando thought they had all done.
Emma Watson and Logan Lerman are in talks to star in indie coming-of-age drama "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," set up at John Malkovich's Mr. Mudd.
"Perks of Being a Wallflower" author Stephen Chbosky will direct from his own script with Lianne Halfon, Malkovich and Russell Smith.
For Watson, the casting would be her first feature role outside her work as Hermione Granger in Warner Bros' eight Harry Potter films. The final pic, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" is set for release in July 2011.
She appeared in the 2007 telepic "The Ballet Shoes" and voiced the part of Princess Pea in 2008's "The Tale of Despereaux."
Lerman, who toplined in "Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief," has been cast as D'Artagnan in Paul W.S. Anderson's version of "Three Musketeers" for Constantin.
"Perks," published in 1999, is narrated by a shy and unpopular teenager who describes his life by writing a series of letters to an anonymous person and explores the awkward times of adolescence, including drug use and sexuality. [Source]
